| DEEP RED OVER EVERYTHINGGreen, shimmering scales distracted him from his quiet walk. He had been following the shore for some time now. He had longed to see and smell the sea so close to him. If his clothes were not on him right now, he would just hop into the water and enjoy it even more.
Only when his steps brought him closer to the rock, did he hear a song coming out of the mermaid's mouth. It had been a very, very long time since he had last seen a ningyo. This must have been his third encounter. They sure were rare creatures. This certain one was quite different than the one he had last seen. Her appearance was more human than ever, despite her green fish tail. The dragon found her beautiful. Both her appearance and her voice. He wasn't aware of her personality yet though, and thus wasn't able to tell himself if she was indeed beautiful or not.
"You have a wonderful voice, my lady. How long have you been singing?"
His usual light grin had been stuck on his face already. He was standing a bit further away from the rock, and so he had to raise his voice a bit more than usual. The answer to his question seemed a bit too obvious to him, but he still wanted to hear it from the mermaid herself. © Ranmaru || Kuriruru
